[Poetry] - Buried In The Sands

Gently the tides rise
And return to their graves
Causing the ocean to extend

Its boundaries
Rushing lazily to intercourse
With my feet
Sluggishly swift
But called
To confinement
Where it awaits
The birth of the next wave
To be with my feet again
Buried in the sands...

Like a statue made of earth
I stood and pondered
On the words
Of my next poem.
How nature has commanded
The waters to offer me art.
With a little fear in my heart,
The next wave may be
too "in love" with my feet to let it go
But even the thought of death
Could not make me
Part ways with this rare inspiration
Buried in the sands.
